BSQUARE has developed a Microsoft Windows CE 4.2 USB modem driver. This driver allows vendors building Windows CE based products to support USB modem capabilities.

The USB modem driver supports any USB modem that operates as a variant of Abstract Control Model (ACM) modem. The driver does not support soft modems or controller-less modems.

BSQUARE's Windows CE USB modem driver is hardware independent and will work with both OHCI and UHCI USB host controllers via their standard Windows CE drivers. The USB modem driver creates a standard COM device and therefore works with standard software such as terminal emulators and fax applications without modification.

The USB modem driver consists of everything you need to integrate the driver into Microsoft's Windows CE Platform Builder, including the Microsoft Self-Installer (MSI) file. For complete integration, you must have access to the board support package for your product in order to integrate the USB modem driver source code.

BSQUARE's Windows CE modem driver works with all processor families currently supported by Windows CE including: x86, SHx, XScale, ARM, MIPS, OHCI USB controllers, and UHCI USB controllers.

BSQUARE provides customized software engineering services for vendors to help them integrate the USB modem driver into their platform.
